Stan and Deanna both grew up in the US. Stan likes to say, they are “American by birth, but Australian by the grace of God!” They were married shortly after high school and were blessed with 4 children, who are all married and living nearby. Stan and Deanna have been involved in vocational ministry for 25 years serving in both pastoral and missionary roles. After several years of pastoral ministry in the US, their ministry journey brought them to Australia in 2001 where they pastored 2 different church plants. In 2009, God led them to join the agency SIM to be involved in mission leadership, sending missionaries from Australia around the world. While ministering with SIM, they attended WBC for 7 years and Stan served as an elder for 5 of those years. In February 2018, Stan became our Lead Pastor to take us into a new and exciting season. Along with ministry in the church, Deanna continues to minister with SIM as their Personnel and Member Care Director.
In one way or another, Ps Justin Gall has worked in church his whole life. The son of church planters in Gippsland, he’s seen and been a part of nearly every aspect of church life. He grew up in the Sth Gippsland hamlet of Korumburra where the family had planted a church. Three more churches were planted through his high school years before he landed in Melbourne where he earned a Bachelor of Music at Monash University and met his wife Jodi. Justin has worked in radio, written, recorded and collaborated on many musical projects, plays a fair few instruments, loves preaching and teaching, and can't get enough of trying to build God's kingdom through the local church. Justin and his beautiful wife Jodi live in a house they have filled with 5 beautiful children in Geelong.

KAREN CHURCH PASTORGail Moe was born in Burma and grew up in a Christian family. In 1981 he was forced to leave Burma and found himself living in a refugee camp in Thailand. He committed his life to Jesus in 1993 and has served the Lord since that day. Gail Moe migrated to Australia in 2009 and in 2011 commenced working at WBC to support the Karen congregation. Initially, whilst he was studying he worked as the Karen Support Worker and then in 2014 he was appointed to the position of Pastor - Karen congregation. Gail Moe has been married to Th'Blay since 2008 and they have 3 adorable children.
ADMINISTRATORKeryn commenced as the Administrator for WBC in May 2017. At the age of sixteen Keryn heard about Jesus and made a decision to follow him. Her journey since that day has provided many opportunities for her to grow in her understanding of what it means to be loved by our awesome God. Keryn has been married to Les for over 40 years, they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Keryn previously worked in Human Resources for a national organisation for more than 20 years so brings knowledge and skills into her current position at WBC which help her to do her job well. In previous years Keryn served on the board of The Bridge, looking after the role of Secretary. Keryn is passionate about seeing believers equipped and encouraged to be all that God has made them to be.
THE BRIDGEGraham joined the team at WBC in 2016 following the Church's decision to become more active in serving the community. In 2014 Graham undertook a needs assessment of the Wyndham Community providing a foundation for the Church's community outreach programs. He grew up in the Salvation Army and made a commitment to Christ in his early teens and later followed God's call to fulltime ministry. Both he and his wife Denise were ordained as Salvation Army Officers. Graham also spent several years with World Vision both in Australia and overseas before re-entering the secular work force. His passion is to serve the community in ways that will result in lives being transformed for Christ.
ChairpersonMatthew is married to Dioni, and they have three children together. They previously lead the Unicell young adults small group, and Dioni serves as a singer and worship leader on the music team. He is currently the Deputy Chair of the Board at Heathdale Christian College and is involved in the governance of a number of organisations. He grew up in a Christian family, and his father, Philip was a Reverend in the Baptist Church movement and a lecturer at the Bible College of Victoria. Both parents have attended WBC since 1994 and are active in the life of the church. Matthew was baptised at WBC and also attended a Pentecostal church for about twelve years before coming back to WBC in 2012.
Matthew works in a senior management role in local government and is responsible for leading a number of strategic social and community infrastructure planning outcomes, as well as health and community development portfolios. He commenced his career as a youth worker before moving into leadership roles within the broader community services. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Post-Grad Bachelor Education P-12, a Diploma of Frontline Management, and a Masters of Business Administration. He has also completed five subjects of a Masters of Divinity at Ridley College, but is no longer studying in that degree. He is most interested in the church being uncomplicated, apolitical, people-centric, and outward looking.
SecretaryNancy was born in Egypt and emigrated to Australia at a young age. Growing up in a Christian family and in church set a solid foundation of faith and theology for personal decision to be made to live for Christ, and she was baptised in her teen years.
Nancy has been attending WBC for over 20 years and has served in Kids Ministry for the majority of that time. She has also been on staff and been involved in numerous family events, camps and ministries in that time. She is currently involved in KidZone, and co-leading a life group and also a playgroup. Nancy is a qualified Physiotherapist working as a clinician and Team Leader at The Physio Co. She is married to Matt, and they have a young daughter Maddie.
Finance DirectorScott gave his life to Christ in 1985 and was among the first to be baptised in the then new building of Werribee Baptist Church in 1988. He is married to Sharyn and they have three children - Harrison, Riley and Alexandra. Having grown up in Werribee Baptist Church, Scott then spent several years helping to plant a church & build up another small community church in the Wyndham area. Choosing to return 'home' to WBC in 2009.
Passionate about the local church, Scott desires to see its influence grow among the community & to see people grow in their faith. He has a heart to serve and enjoys connecting with & encouraging the people around him. Scott is actively involved in the AV/PA ministry. In his spare time, he enjoys catching up with friends & family over a meal, listening to music & watching movies & sport.
Council MemberBen was brought up in Christian discipline, but at age 23 God called him. Since then, he is faithful for His call, working for Him among young University students. In 1988 he came to Australia, Melbourne, to do higher studies at Monash University. Thank God he is faithful at his studies as a result Ben obtained a Doctorate Degree in Microbiology in May-1995, praise God. Since then, Ben worked as an Academic staff member at Victoria University of Technology, St Albans and Werribee Campuses for several years. Then moved to work as Quality Assurance Manager in Pharmaceutical and Animal manufacturing industries. Now he has finally moved into the Food industry.
Ben and Rachel along with their two children, Salomi and Emily moved to Hoppers Crossing in February 2003. The same month they came to WBC and listened to Bill Brisbane’s message, “about His call”. He said immediately you came to this church not by accident but it is God’s will you are here at WBC. Since then, they have attended WBC regularly. Over the past 10 years or so, Ben and his family went through difficult times. Their boat was going through rough situations, but they continued to cling to God. Through Ps 121 and Ps 46 their faith has been lifted up gradually. Ben has determined to inform to all our congregation, that Jesus is our Lord, Master, Shepherd, Refuge, Strength and our hiding place. His coming is very soon.
Council MemberEric grew up in a Christian home in Shepparton, serving in his local church and community from a young age. At university, under the guidance of The Navigators, Eric started seeking the bible more and his love for Christ developed to a deeper level. Eric joined the Defence Force when he was 17 and was posted to Laverton in 2013 when he started attending WBC. His current role is to introduce new IT capabilities into the Logistics Domain. He is married to Mardi and they have three young children; Joseph, Juliet and Benjamin.
Eric is currently leading a WBC Fathers Small Group, is a WBC Kids Ministry Team Member, and does the bible reading for the Sunday sermons. He also does extemporary volunteer work for The Bridge and is the Treasurer for the Military Christian Fellowship of Australia. He is passionate about serving as God’s hands and feet in this world, raising his children to become warriors for Christ, providing financial education to youth/young adults and living a fit and healthy life style.
