The Exclamation Mark
December 9, 2012
The Magi began a Christmas tradition – giving gifts! When they brought their gold, frankincense and myrrh to the newborn King they began something! Christmas is a time for giving and we have our annual Christmas Offerings that will be collected on our two Christmas Services (5:00pm Christmas Eve & 9:00am Christmas Day)
This year we have two options that both involve less privileged people than us in Cambodia.
The “Hope for Orphans Cambodia” home. Last week we heard from Annisa, Tori & Tash who are travelling to Cambodia next week to spend time with the kids at the orphanage at Christmas time. Offerings will support their nutritional, educational, health and physical needs.
Baptist World Aid has a project in the north of Cambodia focused on “whole of life” transformation. This funding will focus on health projects. Giving to this project is tax deductible.
Envelopes are available for these giving possibilities. Make sure you designate your giving and a form will need to be filled if you want tax deductibility.
